The first project to showcase is a catalogue design for Blue Gem Sunglasses Inc., a long standing successful wholesale sunglass company in Carpinteria, CA. Blue Gem Sunglasses approached Insights Design for a fresh perspective on their photography and catalogue. This project was taken from start to finish, including art direction, studio photography, lifestyle photography, production and design. In addition to creating the catalogue, an 8 page sell sheet brochure and order form were produced as part of this project. The client was open to a fresh new style which allowed their products to be extended to a wider demographic of people. In order to generate a real world look, only local models and locations were used; therefore, naturally capturing the feel of California and this unique company. The entire project happened on a limited time frame, and a conservative budget — just goes to show that great quality work can be achieved at a reasonable price. The owner was so pleased with the end product that subsequent to this, the web site will get a facelift to the new catalogue look. Stay tuned for another update on the next developments. |
In the wake of serious natural disasters locally and around the world in the recent past, it's important to highlight this project as an example of our varied clientele and a comittment to public service in our community. Aware & Prepare is a relatively new agency formed in response to the urgent need to better prepare for natural disasters on a local level. A logo and brochure were created as part of a public outreach campaign designed to help educate the community about the unique array of potential disasters that affect Santa Barbara area. For more information on the Aware & Prepare Initiative, please contact Javier Moreno and request a brochure, or visit the Orfalea Foundations web site. |

Creating the ability for students to easily complete their purchase or registration online has a net effect of converting sales with less involvement by phone and customer service staff. That has a positive impact on reducing overhead and increasing the bottom line profit over time. Check it out if you are a legal student or know anyone who is. Jeff and Susan, the legal duo who pioneered this company over 20 years ago, are extremely professional and talented at legal education for the BAR Exam. |
